Treatment of hypercholesterolemia: Adults, teenagers, and children aged 6 years or more with pure hypercholesterolemia (type IIa including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) or mixed dyslipidemia (type IIb) as a supplement to a diet when the response to diet and other non-pharmacological treatments (exercise, weight loss) is not sufficient.

Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, in addition to a diet and other lipid-lowering treatments (including LDL apheresis) or when these treatments are not appropriate.
