Colorectal cancer

Colorectal cancer is a type of cancer that occurs in the cells that line the inside lining of the colon and the rectum. It develops from an initially normal cell which transforms and multiplies in an anarchic way in the form of non-cancerous polyps called adenoma. These polyps are not cancerous, until they form a mass called a malignant tumor (or cancer) in some cases (1).
